Adam uses several acupuncture systems in his practice. There are many different lenses to look through when deciding on how to treat a person and their condition. Adam uses combinations of Orthopedic acupuncture (motor points & trigger points), Dr. Tan Balance Method acupuncture, Master Tung style, as well as some TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) protocols. In addition, esoteric acupuncture, auricular (ear) acupuncture styles as well as Korean hand acupuncture might also be used to attain best results.
Sensitive to needles?
Acupuncture needles are not hollow like hypodermic needles. Consequently, they are much thinner than you might imagine. In many cases, people do not even feel the needle being inserted.
Cupping
The process traditionally uses glass jars, heated to create a vacuum, and placed on the body. Cupping can be done all over the body to invigorate the flow of Qi and to relieve tension and pain. It is often used for treating upper and lower back ache, chronic nausea & vomiting, sciatica, frozen shoulder and more.
If cupping is deemed necessary for your condition, it is generally included in your visit. You can also schedule cupping-only appointments.
