“Adam has helped me through my sciatica. I had been reduced to using a 4-wheel walker. Within weeks, his expertise eradicated my pain. I walk now without pain and no longer use the walker. Thank you, Adam!” Sciatica resolved

“Dr. Adam is one of the best practitioners I have ever come in contact with. He was one of the only professionals to fully listen to my concerns and provide protocols that actually alleviated my symptoms. I had pretty severe skin issues that no derm could pinpoint and required multiple steroid shots until I began working with Adam.” Severe skin issues resolved · Google review · Verified on Google
“I went to Adam for hip, leg, and foot issues on my left side. He helped with all those issues. After 6 weeks of treatment I no longer have plantar fasciitis, my left hip no longer pains me when I walk, and my lower back is normal again. Adam is the best!!” Plantar fasciitis & hip pain · Google review · Verified on Google

Adam Moskow, kitesurfing

About the practitioner

Adam Moskow, A.P.

Swimmer, biker, golfer, yogi, weight trainer, snowboarder, kitesurfer — and acupuncture physician for over 20 years. I became a practitioner because I needed one myself: a wrecked back, chronic inflammation, and lab work a cardiologist called a “ticking time bomb” sent me searching for answers at 31.

I found them — and now I get my patients to the same place.

What I treat

Three medicines, one goal

Acupuncture does more than fix mechanical problems — it calms the nervous system, eases pain, settles digestion, and restores balance. Traditional Chinese Medicine restores balance from the inside out — stress, sleep, digestion, mood. Functional medicine goes deeper still — gut, hormones, inflammation, metabolism. I work across all three, but only when your case calls for all of them. We build your plan from whichever discipline best fits your condition and goals — most people need one, some need two, and the approach is personalized from the start.

01 — Sports acupuncture &
dry needling

Get back in the game

Athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone with a body that has to perform. Orthopedic acupuncture (also called motor-point acupuncture or dry needling) goes straight to muscles that aren’t firing properly — re-activating them, releasing trigger points, and stopping the compensations that cause pain and slow you down.

Most cases of muscular inhibition respond within a few treatments. Soft-tissue work, including Gua Sha and cupping, typically follows needling to restore glide and mobility.

02 — Acupuncture

Pain relief, without the mask

Back and neck pain, migraines, arthritis, muscle tightness, chronic pain you can’t name. Traditional and Balance Method acupuncture — needles are hair-thin, disposable, and barely perceptible going in. Most patients feel deeply relaxed, often euphoric, by the end of a session.

Sessions run about 60 minutes after your first visit; needles rest 20–45 minutes while you unwind with music in a warm room. See what to expect →

03 — Traditional Chinese Medicine

Calm your mind. Settle your gut. Restore balance.

When your whole system is out of whack — wired but tired, anxious, sleeping badly, gut acting up — Traditional Chinese Medicine has answers Western medicine often doesn’t. Acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and cupping work together to recover your natural equilibrium.

I’m board-certified in Chinese herbology — herbal formulas are carefully prescribed and fine-tuned to your constitution and your progress. Treatment stays simple, too: I prescribe convenient granule and prepared formulas — no raw herbs to boil at home.

04 — Functional Medicine

Find the root cause. Address it properly.

Gut problems, metabolic syndrome and pre-diabetes, inflammation, hormone imbalances, fatigue that doesn’t quit. Functional medicine is personalized, root-cause care — including blood and functional lab analysis — built around prevention and meaningful lifestyle change rather than managing symptoms forever.

Normal isn’t optimal — we read your labs against functional ranges. See the process →

New-patient functional appointments run about 90 minutes — enough time to actually understand your history.

Not nearby? Functional medicine works fully over video — full history, lab analysis, and a personalized plan, from anywhere. (Acupuncture is in-person only.)

Root-cause medicine

What is functional medicine?

Short answer: medicine that asks why. It looks beneath your diagnosis to the real drivers of illness — then addresses those, instead of managing symptoms forever.

01

Philosophy

Symptoms are signals, not the disease itself. Functional medicine treats illness as a system that’s lost its balance — and recovery as finding the hidden drivers and correcting them, with a plan built around your body, not pulled off a shelf.

02

Process

Your full story first — history, habits, how you actually feel day to day — then functional lab testing to pinpoint hormone imbalances, digestive problems, inflammation, and nutrient gaps. Nothing guessed at.

03

Treatment

Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine where they fit, alongside targeted quality supplements, nutrition, and realistic lifestyle change. Progress is re-measured, and your plan evolves as you do.

Commonly treated conditions

A lot of what walks through my door falls into four groups:

Pain & sports care

Sports injuries, back & neck pain, sciatica, tendinitis, chronic muscle & joint pain, surgical rehab

Digestion & gut health

Digestive issues, gut imbalance, chronic inflammation, immune support

Stress, anxiety & sleep

Stress & anxiety relief, insomnia, chronic tension, migraines

Metabolic & hormone health

Blood sugar & metabolic issues, hormone imbalances, chronic fatigue

Conditions We Treat

What brings people here

Pain, stress, digestion, and the conditions that come with an active South Florida life. Pick a condition to see how orthopedic acupuncture and functional medicine can help — every case is personalized, not pulled off a shelf.

What to expect

Your first visit, explained

01

Full evaluation

Your first visit runs about 90 minutes: intake review, detailed questions about your history and goals, and hands-on testing — muscle testing, pulse and tongue diagnosis, and orthopedic assessment where relevant.

02

An honest plan

You’ll get a treatment recommendation matched to your condition and your goals. If your case isn’t one where this medicine can help, you’ll be told so — we only take on patients we’re confident we can help.

03

Treatment, same day

After the exam we move right into your first treatment. Follow-ups run about 60 minutes — needles rest while you relax with music, and soft-tissue work often follows for immediate improvement.

Before you come in

Complete your intake forms ahead of time — it saves time and makes your first visit far more useful.

  • Eat a light meal before acupuncture treatments.
  • Wear comfortable, loose clothing.
  • Skip rigorous exercise for two hours before and after.

Appointments

New-patient visits are typically 90 minutes. Follow-up acupuncture runs 45–60 minutes depending on your treatment plan.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Do acupuncture needles hurt?

Almost never. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin — nothing like hollow hypodermic needles — and they go only a few millimeters deep. Most people feel little more than a vague numbness, heaviness, or slight tingling, if anything at all.

What does a treatment session involve?

After your needles are placed, you rest for 20–45 minutes with soothing music in a warm room. The treatment works whether you feel anything dramatic or not. Most patients leave relaxed — sometimes euphoric — and many report stiffness, pain, and movement improving immediately.

How long does a visit take?

Your first visit is about 1.5 hours and includes both the full examination and your first treatment. Follow-up acupuncture visits generally run about an hour (some treatment plans, such as the Wilton Manors clinic visits, run 30 minutes).

How should I prepare for treatment?

Eat before you come, wear comfortable clothes, and plan to avoid rigorous exercise for at least two hours before and after your session. New patients should fill out the intake forms before their first visit.

Do you use clean needles?

Always. Only sterile, disposable needles — used once, then discarded.

Where are the intake forms?

I send the intake forms to you personally after you book your visit.

Do you offer online appointments?

Yes — functional medicine consults are available fully online, because they’re built on conversation, history, and lab analysis rather than hands-on treatment. Deep-dive consults and follow-ups all work over video, wherever you live. Acupuncture is in-person only at the Wilton Manors and Delray Beach offices. Either way, new patients start with a free intro call first.

A note on insurance

I don’t accept health insurance — and that’s by design. No insurer protocols dictating how long your visit can be, no codes limiting what we can address, and no one standing between you and the care your case actually needs. You’ll always know the cost before you book. If you’d like, I’ll provide a superbill you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursement.
