Acupuncture for Golf

I treat athletes because I am one. I know what golf does to your body — the rotational torque through your spine, the grip strain in your wrists and elbows, the lower back tightness after 18 holes. I’ve dealt with it myself. My job is to keep your swing smooth and pain-free.

Common Golf Injuries I Treat

  • Golfer’s elbow — pain on the inside of the elbow that flares with gripping and the downswing.
  • Lower back pain — repetitive rotation and poor hip mobility overload the lumbar spine.
  • Shoulder impingement — the top of the backswing can pinch the shoulder, limiting your follow-through.
  • Wrist strain — fat shots and high club speeds stress the small tendons of the wrist.

How I Work With Golf Athletes

My treatments combine orthopedic acupuncture and dry needling with a golf-specific movement assessment, looking at your swing pattern, hip mobility, and posture through impact. We’ll quiet down irritated tissue, restore the rotation and flexibility your swing depends on, and address the root cause so the pain doesn’t keep coming back. I also put athletes through EXSTORE testing (Examine, Restore) to determine which muscles aren’t firing properly, so treatment targets the real problem. Every plan is built around a clear return-to-play goal: getting you back to 18 holes without hesitation.

Supplements I often suggest

For golf, these are the supplements I suggest most often in my practice:

  • PerfectAmino Powder, Mixed Berry (BodyHealth) — Essential amino acids for muscle protein synthesis — no calories, won’t break a fast.
  • Creatine Monohydrate Powder, Unflavored (Designs for Health) — Supports muscle growth and performance when paired with resistance training.
  • OmegAvail Hi-Po Fish Oil (Designs for Health) — 1,600 mg EPA/DHA per serving with lipase for absorption — no fishy aftertaste.
